The primary computational resource of the lab is the Blanca compute cluster. It was purchased in 9/2015 via an ONR DURIP grant, and is maintained by Research Computing through their Blanca program:

  • 36 compute nodes, each with:
    • Processors: 2x8-Core Intel Intel Xeon E5-2667 @ 3.30GHz -- 576 total cores
    • RAM: 64GB per node
    • Mellanox high-speed InfiniBand interconnects
    • NVIDIA Quadro K2000 GPU (for virtual environment 3D rendering, not GPU computing)
